Priority IT is an established IT support provider with a diverse range of clients across Wiltshire and Somerset. We take pride in being the superheroes of IT support, working with local businesses ranging from 1 to 50 computer users. We’re looking for a new team member with a broad range of computer skills and great customer service focus, who is proactive and enjoys identifying and solving problems.
About the role
To be successful in this role, you will enjoy meeting other people and building good working relationships with our clients both face to face and by telephone. You can expect to spend half of your time onsite with clients and half of your time in the office, so if your comfort zone is being behind your desk, this role may not be for you!
Your day-to-day duties will include liaising with computer users to identify and resolve problems, helping with installation or upgrading of systems and equipment, plus analysing data to spot and fix issues behind the scenes. Your normal working hours will be 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday, however some flexibility is required on occasions such as where installations are undertaken outside of working hours to minimise disruption to clients.
You may have already worked in IT support either in-house or for a consultancy, or you may have solid customer service experience in a different sector combined with a strong IT element to your role (perhaps you are the person your colleagues always turn to when they have computer issues, and you would like to make this your career). You will likely have experience or knowledge of most of the following:
- Installing/Configuring and Supporting Microsoft Windows 10
- Understand IP and Networking
- Active Directory
- Office365
- Service management ticket based systems
- Mac Support experience (beneficial)
You will have good Maths and English skills (shown by Level 2 qualification or above). Qualifications in IT support or Microsoft Certified Professional accreditations are desirable but not essential: we are more interested in your practical experience in the workplace and your customer focus.
Due to the geographical spread of our clients and regular business travel, you will need a driving licence and you will either need to be over 21 to be added to our company car insurance or have your own vehicle.
We offer a salary in the region of £20,000 to £25,000 depending on experience, together with pension and private healthcare and training to help you develop in your career.
As we work with organisations in the education sector, this role is subject to a standard Disclosure and Barring Service disclosure, because the successful candidate will have access to sensitive data and be required to work onsite at educational establishments. Priority IT complies fully with the DBS Code of Practice and our policy on the Recruitment of Ex-Offenders is available on request.
To apply for the position, please send your CV and a covering letter outlining why you are the right person for the role to Kieran Thomas via kieran@priorityit.co.uk by 4 December 2017. Interviews will be held during w/c 11 December.
